A beautiful day in Fayette County, Alabama
Are you looking for 50cc of pure awesome? Here it is, the Honda Ruckus. We bought a pair of brand new Ruckuses, Ruckus's, Ruckii... anyway, we bought 2 of them and rode them EVERYWHERE! We rode to all 67 counties in Alabama, we rode the full length of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive, we rode the full length of the Gulf Islands National Seashore and just about everywhere in between. We made a lot of fans along the way and even became local celebrities of some sort.
While out riding one day, somewhere in the vicinity of Harpersville if we recall correctly, we passed a pair of biker dudes going the opposite direction. They slammed on the brakes, made an abrupt u-turn and quickly caught up with us. They flagged us down just so they could pose with us! LOL. They had read about our scootering adventures online and couldn't believe they actually encountered us out on the road. Good times... very good times.
We rode these scooters for several years but one day in a campground somewhere in Texas, a couple spotted us on them and offered to buy them. They offered us what we paid for them when we got them new, so we sold them. In retrospect, that was a sad day.
We did something on these little scooters than most people would be afraid to do. The memories we made cannot be equaled by anything else so we are thankful we did not listen to all those people who said we were crazy. We think it is crazy to live your life from your living room instead of getting out there and having a little fun. Ride, Sally, ride!
