Which way do we go?
After we sold the Genuine Blur, we started our search for another bike. We looked at everything from Aprilia to Yamaha but settled on the Kymco Like 200i. It is a great combination of looks, reliability and price. At about half of what a comparably sized Honda would cost, this scooter is a tremendous bang for the buck.
The scooter is literally a 163cc bike and we're not real sure why they rounded up so high when labeling it. Even at 163cc, the bike will carry 2 people easily but don't expect to break any land speed records. I've had the Like up to 63 MPH riding solo on flat ground and it will cruise all day long at 55 MPH. We don't like to get on the interstates anyway, so being able to comfortable cruise at 55 MPH is all we wanted. Oh yeah, the 80 MPG ain't so bad either.
The Like is fantastic for running errands and sightseeing. You can zip around with ease and travel on any road within the US on it. It has plenty of room to carry things and is a blast to ride. Below is a stock photo of some random people on a Like.
We still have this scooter and plan to keep it. We thought we might sell it once we bought the Can Am Spyder, but this thing is just too much fun and too economical to let it go. If you are in the market for a great scooter, check out the Kymco lineup. They have a bike to fit anyone's need... from 50cc to 500cc.
